Apostolic Prayers

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2

In the proceeding blog posts, we are going to be sharing insights into the New Testament apostolic prayers. Our heart’s desire is to  take these scriptures and glean powerful and practical truth from them so that you can continue growing in your prayer life as well as in intimacy with God. 

The early apostles were chosen by God to grow the Church, and they did so by testifying boldly to the resurrection of Christ, teaching the Word, and prayer. Even as the Church began growing rapidly and there were many opportunities for distraction, the apostles remained devoted to prayer. (Acts 6:4) It’s clear they had a foundation of prayer in their lives, and there is much to learn from them and their example.
