Focused On Him

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Matthew 5:6

During every season of life, it is vital to   keep our gaze fixed on Jesus. With our eyes set on him, we all can walk on the troubled seas of this life. We want to encourage you, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12) And also, “To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6)

May these words below encourage your heart to stay focused on Jesus as you meditate and reflect upon them. 

Oh how I long to seek you

To hear only you my Lord

That every care would fade away

In the light of the glorious Word

Oh to know what you’d do each moment

To walk in your wisdom and ways

To be always pleasing to you 

As my life is a sacrifice of praise 

Whenever darts come my way

Standing with the shield of faith I’ll stay

Grounded and strong 

Filled with great power and love

Hope flowing over and joy as my song

The waves they roar, the winds they blow

They try to quench my light

But no fear is inside, for you my life will shine

As sure as my scarlet sins were washed white

My hope, my gaze is fixed on you

My love, the one my heart pursues

My joy, always fresh and renewed 

My vision, to be like only you
