Glorious Inheritance

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know…the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people… Ephesians 1:18

In the last blog, we wrote about how the eyes of your heart being enlightened results in deeper understanding of the hope God has given. 

As we continue looking into this prayer, it’s clear that  having more of God’s light flood your heart also causes you to walk in deeper understanding of the honor and privilege it is to belong to God and be his holy people.  “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…” (Colossians 1:13). God graciously and mercifully bought us all back with the highest price, so that those who believe in Christ could belong to him and be reborn as his sons and daughters.

The more you seek and pray for the Lord to enlighten your heart, the more you will discover the joy of what it truly is to be received by God. In that place of acceptance, you can rest in your new identity as a son or daughter of the Most High God. As you live here, God will increase your understanding of the worth in his people and will also increase your love for the Body of Christ.

We are praying that as you deepen in whose you are, you will be free from seeking who you are through the things of this passing world. You are dearly loved by God and he wants that to become the reality of your life.
