Living A Peaceful Life

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?
James 4:1

You are created to be love and love is not selfish, irritable or easily angered. When you live selfishly, you set yourself up for   irritation and frustration. When you don’t guard your thoughts and intentionally seek God for satisfaction, that is when disappointments and let downs come. It is very important to stay focused on the truth that Christ has made you new. As a new creation, you are given the great honor of living a life filled with the Spirit of patience and endurance. Each day you can glorify God by living selflessly. Praise God, frustration and irritation from day to day is not your lot in life.

People don’t wake up to please you, and you don’t wake up to have things go your way. You wake up to be loved by God and to become more like he originally made you to be – love. You wake up to know him and make him known. 

Offer yourself today as a living sacrifice laid down at God’s feet to be wholly devoted to the simplicity and purity of loving Jesus and loving others, even those who do you wrong.
